Professional Education

Feist-Weiller Cancer Center is an integral part of LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and provides various education programs. Feist-Weiller Cancer Center offers a three-year Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program that is one of the largest in the southeast United States with 15 fellows. In addition, hands-on comprehensive training is also offered for medical residents.

Feist-Weiller Cancer Center offers continuing medical education programs for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. Two scientific symposiums are held each year: the Ray A. Barlow Scientific Symposium, which includes a large scientific poster presentation, and the Carroll W. Feist Scientific Symposium, which offers medical education credits.
