Patrick A. Adegboyega, M.D. joined the pathology faculty and the Feist Weiller Cancer Center staff at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport in May 2006 as a Professor in Pathology. He serves as the director of the Tissue and Serum Repository and also directs the Histopathology Reaseach laboratories at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. Dr. Adegboyega’s patient care-related responsibilities are in diagnostic general surgical pathology with primary interests in Dermatopathology, Infectious Disease Pathology, Head and Neck (ENT) and ancillary techniques including immunohistochemistry. Prior to joining LSUHSC-S, Dr. Adegboyega was Associate Director of Surgical Pathology and Co-director of the Gastro-intestinal course in the medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.

Role of subepithelial myofibroblasts in health, inflammatory diseases, carcinogenesis and the biology of malignant disease conditions.
