Clinical Expertise

Jonathan Glass, MD is the founding Director of the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center at LSU Health Sciences Center- Shreveport. Dr. Glass has considerable experience and expertise in hematologic malignancies including lymphomas, leukemias, and plasma cell disorders (for all of which he has active studies); non-malignant hematologic disorders (such as TTP, hemolytic anemias and hemochromatosis); as well as general oncology. Dr. Glass has been Chief of the Section of Hematology-Oncology since 1986, Director of the Cancer Center since its inception in 1993, and he has overseen the growth of the Section and the Cancer Center to its current status as a premier center for clinical cancer research studies.  He is internationally known for his research activities in iron metabolism and also investigation of transcription factor abnormalities in prostate cancer.
