FWCC will host a traveling exhibition of 50 works submitted in the 2006 Lilly competition May 5 – 9. The public is invited to both view the traveling exhibition and to participate in the 2008 contest by submitting a work of art.
Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company and the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship launched the first art competition in 2004. This is their third biennial competition. Anyone who has been diagnosed with any type of cancer, as well as their families, friends, cancer advocates, health care providers, artists and art students are eligible to enter and share their cancer experience through art.
Applicants must be 18 years or older. The first, second and third prize is an all-expense paid trip to New York for the winners’ announcement, as well as a monetary donation to be made to each winners’ cancer charity of choice. All entries will become part of an international exhibition, which will travel the world.
Feist-Weiller Cancer Center will accept art for this contest through the first week of June. Submitted artwork may be painting, photography or mixed media.
